CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A soggy early morning but the clouds and showers will move out, leaving behind drier and breezy conditions.
Plan on a blustery day with wind speeds between 20 to 30 mph at times in the late morning to early afternoon. This will work against the added warmth from some additional sunshine. Temperatures will be in the mid 50s.

Winds ease tonight with clearing skies, which will combine to encourage a chilly start to the day on Thursday. Lows will likely slip into the low to mid 30s, which could lead to more frost in much of the viewing area. Temperatures warm nicely into the low to mid 50s with lighter winds overall.
Friday follows a similar path, with a start in the 30s and highs in the 50s. Clouds will be a bit more common, though, and winds could turn somewhat stronger. Overall, we’re still holding onto a decent, but seasonably cool, forecast in time for trick-or-treating (think mid to upper 40s).

A few showers will be possible on a fairly chilly Saturday. Highs then may only reach the mid to upper 40s at best with some wind. A few light showers will also be possible, though we still believe that these will be generally on the light and scattered side.
The remainder of the 9-day forecast is dry at this stage, wiht several days in a row of pleasant early November weather. Lows will be in the 30s, with highs in the 50s. There’s a bit of a hint of a warm-up toward the very end of next work and school week, which could push temperatures a bit more notably above normal. The magnitude of that warm-up is still a bit uncertain at this range, so stick with us for updates.
