CRAWFORD COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - On June 4th, at approximately 9:51 pm, the Iowa State Patrol responded to a report of a deadly crash on Highway 30 west of N. Ave.

Investigators say a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix was traveling eastbound on Highway 30 when it lost control and collided with a 2016 Chevy Suburban driving westbound.

The driver and two passengers in the Grand Prix were seriously injured in the crash. Another passenger, later identified as 35-year-old Cory Beer from Bayard, IA, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevy Suburban was also taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
