Dubuque sisters gear up to support brother during Super Bowl game this Sunday
A Dubuque native will be at one of football's biggest game this Sunday
Riley McCarron played for the Iowa Hawkeyes and is now on the New England Patriots Practice Team.
He joined in September and has been named practice player of the week multiple times.
Riley's sisters Maddie McCarron and Jessica Schumacher say he's working hard to join the active roster.
In the meantime, they say there are plenty of people rooting for him back home.
"His support system goes beyond just our family or his friends. It goes to the whole community, like his school where he was from, Wahlert, and like the rest of Dubuque. They're all rooting for him," Maddie McCarron said.
Schumacher says it's been so much fun watching him grow as a player.
She said, "you know he’s capable of doing all these awesome things but I think if somebody would’ve said you know years ago that he would be at the super bowl we would say they were crazy."
Riley's parents and brother will be at the Super Bowl to watch the game with him.
His sisters will be cheering from back home.
