Road buckled due to extreme heat

MARION, Iowa (KCRG) - On Monday, a road buckled due to the extreme prolonged heat.

The damaged section is on Winslow Road near Bellboy Drive and Cakebread Court.

The City has construction crews working on the situation to have it fixed as soon as possible.

For now, only one lane is open to traffic.

The city encourages people to enter the area with caution or use an alternative route.

Updates will be sent when construction is finished which they hope is within the next week.
