Play Cafe becomes Cat Cafe for adoption event
MARION, Iowa (KCRG) - The Play Cafe in Marion is transforming into the Cat Cafe Saturday morning.
From 9 a.m. to noon the Cedar Valley Humane Society will have three kittens ready for adoption at the indoor playground.
Petting and playing with the cats comes with the price of regular admission to the center.
The owner of the Play Cafe says the event aims to raise awareness for the humane society.
”I’ve seen a lot of posts from a lot of random humane societies lately that there’s just a really big need for homes for not just cats, but all animals really. So I thought we could do our part by raising awareness and who doesn’t want to come and play with kittens? " said Jen English, owner of the Play Cafe.
The kittens at the cat cafe will be ready for adoption.
Adoptable cats will be at the Play Cafe every Saturday in November.
