Two injured in motorcycle crash near I-380 ramp in Evansdale, deputies say

Both suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were in stable condition.

EVANDALE, Iowa (KCRG) - Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday night near the ramp to southbound Interstate 380 in Evansdale, according to the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they were called around 8:30p.m. to the area of River Forest Road and the ramp to southbound I-380. Investigators say the motorcycle driver hit a guardrail while approaching a curve on the ramp. A passenger was thrown from the bike during the crash.

Both the driver and passenger were taken to a local hospital and the driver was later life-flighted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Deputies said both suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were in stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
