It’s been a busy summer for Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark. Fresh off seeing Taylor Swift in concert, to winning the Honda Cup, which recognizes the best female college athlete of the year, she’ll now be hitting the links in the John Deere Classic.
Iowa basketball star Caitlin Clark was honored as the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year. She received the Honda Cup in a ceremony at UCLA. It’s the second consecutive year that a women’s basketball player won the award as South Carolina’s Aliyah Boston was the recipient in 2022.
Simon Gregersen struck out six of the 10 outs he recorded to close out Indiana State’s 11-8 win over Iowa to win the Terre Haute Regional championship and earn a berth in the super regionals. Indiana State (44-15) knocked Iowa into the elimination round with a 7-4 win Saturday night and the Hawkeyes earned the rematch by out-lasting North Carolina 6-5 in 13 innings earlier Sunday.
