West Delaware completes dominant dual season with 2A state championship

DES MOINES, Iowa. (KCRG) The West Delaware Hawks completed their dominant dual season on Wednesday night with a 53-9 win over the Williamsburg Raiders to win their second consecutive 2A state championship.

"These last 3 weeks, this group has caught fire. We've gotten better, but our level of intensity, our level of relentlessness and aggressiveness, it's just gone to another level." head coach Jeff Voss said.

West Delaware finished the season a perfect 19-0 against 2A competition, increasing the 2A win-streak to 35 straight duals. The Hawks outscored their opponents 167-39 in the 2020 state tournament. Full results of the championship dual are below.
