UNI closes out non-conference play with loss to Stony Brook

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KCRG) - Northern Iowa struggled throughout the non-conference schedule, and now, conference play starts in three days.

The Panthers lost their final non-conference game on Saturday to Stony Brook 73-63 to drop their record to 5-8.

Wyatt Lohaus led the team with 23 points. Freshman A.J. Green finished just shy of a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Northern Iowa opens conference play on the road against Bradley on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
