#8 Prairie takes down #3 Cedar Falls 46-41

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. (KCRG) - The Prairie Hawks girls basketball team took down the Cedar Falls Tigers 46-41 on Tuesday night, improving their record to 8-2 on the season. Tuesday's loss is the first of the season for Cedar Falls.

Prairie's Mallory McDermott led all scorers with 16 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter.

Cedar Falls will look ahead to a match up with defending state champion Iowa City West on Friday while the Hawks face off against Dubuque Hempstead on Friday.
