Points tough to come by against Mississippi State defense

TAMPA, Florida (KCRG) - Iowa's offense has struggled in its last two Outback Bowl appearances averaging just 229 yards total. Putting points on the board will be a challenge once again on Tuesday.

Mississippi State's defense is No. 1 in the country in scoring defense giving up just 12 points a game. The Bulldogs have also surrendered just 12 touchdowns this season.

"We're tough and we'll match toughness against anybody," said Mississippi State defensive coordinator Bob Shoop.
