Paul Glynn still motivated in backup role

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - When Austin DeSanto transferred to Iowa, it meant Paul Glynn's role would change on the team. Glynn went 8-11 last season as a starter at 133 pounds.

On Friday, he started in place of DeSanto, who was serving a one dual suspension. Glynn improved to 2-0 in Big Ten duals after collecting a fall against Maryland's Orion Anderson at the 2:46 mark.

"I went through a phase where I didn't really know where I belonged," said Glynn. "I was trying to take a shortcut and move up a weight class."

Iowa hosts Indiana on Friday.
