STILLWATER, Iowa (KCRG) - There was a lot of buildup to Sunday's matchup between Oklahoma State and Iowa. Head coach Tom Brands even made a case to have it on national television.
For the Hawkeyes, the match didn't start off so well. Oklahoma State won the first three matches, including at 125 pounds when Nick Piccininni pinned Spencer Lee in the second period.
Iowa did win the next three at 149, 157 and 165 pounds, but the Cowboys took home the final four to win 27-12.
The Big Ten Championships begin on Mar. 9 in Minneapolis.
