MINNEAPOLIS, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa's Spencer Lee and Alex Marinelli advanced to the finals of the 2019 Big Ten Championships after winning their semi-final rounds on Saturday.
Lee, the No. 2 seed at 125, defeated Minnesota's Sean Russell by 8-0 major decision. He'll face Northwestern's Sebastian Rivera for the championship.
Marinelli, the No. 2 see at 165, edged Wisconsin's Evan Wick with a 2-1 decision. He'll face top-seeded Vincenzo Joseph of Penn State.
