Iowa's late comeback falls short against Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (KCRG) - There's still plenty of season left, but Iowa's season could be unraveling. The Hawkeyes lost their second consecutive game with a 92-87 loss at Minnesota.

The Gophers scored 55 points in the first half on nearly 66-percent shooting. The Hawkeyes trailed by 16 points with 5:30 left in the game. They did cut the deficit down to four, but Minnesota made some key free throws in the end.

Luka Garza led the team with 25 points. Iowa had no answer against Minnesota's Jordan Murphy, who finished with 23 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.

The Hawkeyes drop to 16-5 overall and 5-5 in the Big Ten.
