Iowa hungry for more than Sweet 16 appearance

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa's historic season continues with a trip to the Sweet 16. The Hawkeyes will face N.C. State on Saturday in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The last time the Hawkeyes appeared in the Sweet 16 was in 2015. After that season, the team went through some bumps with a pair of WNIT appearances and player transfers. Now, this will go down as one of the most memorable seasons in program history, but this team wants more.

"There's only been three teams in Iowa that have been to the Elite 8," said head coach Lisa Bluder. "We want to make it 4. There's only been one team ever at Iowa to win 29 games. We want to make it two."

Saturday's game is set for 10:30 a.m.
