IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- The University of Iowa has announced start times for seven Hawkeye football games, including five home games.
Iowa opens the season at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 1, against Northern Illinois. It will be televised on BTN. The Hawkeyes host instate rival Iowa State in the annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series game starting at 4 p.m. Sept. 8 on FOX. The following weekend Hawkeyes host Northern Iowa at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15 on BTN.
The Hawkeyes will be the Homecoming opponent on consecutive weekends in October, starting with Minnesota Oct. 6, starting at either 3:30 or 4 p.m. on a yet to be determined network. Iowa then travels to Indiana for a game at 11 a.m. Oct. 13 on ABC/ESPN/ESPN2.
Iowa returns to Kinnick Stadium for Homecoming against Maryland at 11 a.m. Oct. 20. The university has not yet announced the network designation for that game. Iowa's annual Black Friday contest against Nebraska (Nov. 23) will air at 11 a.m. Nov. 23 on FOX.
Kickoff times for the remainder of the season, beginning with the Big Ten opener against Wisconsin, will be announced later.
