Iowa State survives late push by Drake

AMES, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa State got some revenge on Sunday defeating No. 25 Drake at home, 86-81.

The Cyclones were down double digits early in the first quarter, but came back and took a three-point lead at halftime. They were up by 11 with five minutes to go in the game, but Drake fought back and tied it up 79-79 with 1:24 remaining. Iowa State got a pair of buckets from Meredith Burkhall and Bridget Carleton to retake the lead for good.

Iowa State improves to 8-2, while Drake falls to 8-3.
