Iowa State lands Troy transfer Javan Johnson

AMES, Iowa (KCRG) - For the second time in four days, the Iowa State men's basketball team landed another recruit. On Saturday, Javan Johnson announced on Twitter his commitment to transfer from Troy University.

Johnson, a six-foot-seven forward, averaged 10.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and shot 40-percent from the field last year for Troy.

He'll have to sit out next season, but will have two years of eligibility.
