Iowa State finishes 5th in Maui Invitational

MAUI, Hawaii (KCRG) - Despite being down four players, including three starters, Iowa State was able to finish 2-1 in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational. The Cyclones finished in fifth place after beating San Diego State 87-57 in the consolation finals.

Iowa State hit fourteen three-pointers, nine of them came in the first half. Marial Shayok led the team with 21 points and Michael Jacobson added 19 points.

The Cyclones host Omaha on Monday.
