Iowa beats Cincinnati in tough back-and-forth NCAA tournament game

The Iowa Hawkeyes won their first round match-up with Cincinnati on Friday in a back-and-fort game with multiple runs and lead-changes. The final score was 79 to 72.

Cincinnati took an early double-digit lead over the Hawkeyes in the first half, but Iowa battled back to only trail by five at the half. After several lead changes in the second half, the game was tied at 59 with just more than six minutes to play.

Iowa stretched the lead to nine late in the game and hit their free throws to seal it int he final seconds.
