High school cross country qualifying: Class 4A and 1A

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - It was qualifying for high school cross country runners on Thursday. The Top 15 runners and Top 3 teams advance to state.

There was a Class 4A and 1A qualifying race at Noelridge Park in Cedar Rapids.

In the Class 1A girls' race, Turkey Valley's Jalyssa Blazek was the top runner at 19:49 and Kee High finished first as a team. In the boys' race, Caleb Silver of BCLUW took first in a time of 17:13 and the Comets also won the team title.

In the Class 4A girls' race, Linn-Mar's Micah Poellet won in 17:52 and Dubuque Senior brought home the team title. On the boys' side, Jacob Green of Kennedy won in 16:00 and Washington won the team title.
