Hawkeyes try to stay positive entering postseason action

IOWA CITY, Iowa. (KCRG) - The pessimism coming from the outside surrounding the hawkeye mens basketball team feels warranted as the team finished the regular season losers in 5 of their last 6 games. As for the team themselves, they are trying to keep this optimistic heading into postseason play.

"Just remind guys that we have another day, the season isn't over still we are in a very good position both in our tournament and in the NCAA tournament." Junior Tyler Cook said. "Just reminding guys that were in a good position and you know we still have a ton of time to do a lot of great things."

"There's a lot of good things that happened this season, I mean getting to 21 wins in the regular season is pretty impressive especially coming off the season last year." Freshman Joe Wieskamp said. "We got to remember that and remember how good we've played this year, you know just remember the team that were capable of being and just focus on that moving forward."

Trying to rid themselves of all outside distractions, the team collectively decided to stay off all social media platforms for the remainder of the season to try and better focus themselves for the task at hand.
