Gustafson scores 41 as Iowa takes down No. 23 Michigan State

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa continues to remain in the hunt for a Big Ten title after beating No. 23 Michigan State on Thursday, 86-71. The win avenges a loss from earlier in the season.

Megan Gustafson had her normal double-double with 41 points and 14 rebounds. Kathleen Doyle added 18 points.

Guard Makenzie Meyer sat out due to an injury she suffered in Sunday's game against Penn State.

Iowa improves to 17-5 overall and 9-3 in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes travel to Ohio State on Sunday.
