IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Even though it should've happened earlier in the season, the nation is taking notice of the Iowa women's basketball team.
The Hawkeyes defeated No. 7 Maryland at home on Saturday, 86-73, moving into a tie for first place with the Terrapins in the Big Ten standings.
Once again, Megan Gustafson was unstoppable finishing with 31 points and 17 rebounds. Tania Davis, Kathleen Doyle and Hannah Stewart also finished in double figures.
Iowa has three regular season games remaining. First, the Hawkeyes travel to Indiana on Thursday, then go to Nebraska and close out the season at home versus Northwestern.
