IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - It will be a long time before anyone will ever come close to breaking Megan Gustafson's career records in points and rebounds. She has 2,124 career points and 1,130 career rebounds, and the season isn't even halfway over.
"It's kind of crazy just to think about I've been able to hit those milestones pretty early on in the season," said Gustafson.
On Sunday, she broke the career scoring record, which was previously held by Iowa City native Ally Disterhoft. She and Gustafson were teammates for two seasons.
"I figured she would break it," said Disterhoft. "Sometimes people get a little salty when their records are broken, but if it's anyone, it's going to be Megan."
