IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Pre-season Accolades don't mean a whole lot in the big picture but what they do tell us is how much of an expectation the rest of the country has for a particular player.
The expecatations are high for Iowa Tight End Noah Fant who was named a first-team All-American by Sporting news Monday, July 2.
Fant led all FBS tight ends with 16.5 yards per catch and 11 touchdowns.
The rest of college football expects him to produce numbers like that again, something Hawkeye fans would surely welcome.
He'll get the first opportunity in 61 days when Iowa kicks off with Northern Illinois.
