Cyclones take down No. 5 Kansas, stay unbeaten in Big 12

AMES, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa State is now in the driver's seat in the early race of the Big 12 after upsetting No. 5 Kansas on Saturday, 77-60. The Jayhawks came in averaging 80 points a game.

The Cyclones did it with defense forcing 24 turnovers. They also hit 13 3-pointers, nine of them came in the second half.

Marial Shayok led all scorers with 24 points and went a perfect 5-for-5 from the three-point line.

Iowa State travels to Baylor on Tuesday.
