Cyclones overcome slow start and cruise past Kansas State

AMES, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa State opened conference play with a 96-58 win versus Kansas State on Wednesday. The Cyclones hit 16 3-pointers.

They fell behind by seven in the first quarter, but outscored the Wildcats 27-12 in the second quarter to take the lead for good.

Bridget Carleton led the team with 26 points and moved up to 9th on the all-time scoring list.

The Cyclones travel to Kansas on Saturday. Tip-off is at 1 p.m.
