Cedar Rapids Prairie girls come up short against Urbandale, 64-59

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - The Cedar Rapids Prairie girls basketball team was looking to advance to the state tournament for the first time since 2006, but came up just short in the Class 5A regional final.

The Hawks lost to Urbandale at home, 64-59.

Prairie played tough, featuring contributions from Rachael Kilpatrick and former TV9 Athlete of the Week Sidney McRea. But, Urbandale held on for the win.

Prairie finishes the season with a great 18-4 mark.
