Cedar Falls repeats as 4A state champions

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) - Cedar Falls makes it back-to-back state championships in Class 4A after beating Dubuque Senior on Friday, 44-41.

Dubuque Senior controlled the first quarter jumping out to a 16-4 lead. Cedar Falls settled things down and responded with a 20-7 run to lead 24-23 at halftime.

In the final quarter, Dubuque Senior erased a seven-point deficit, but Logan Wolf hit 3-out-of-4 free throws in the final seconds to give Cedar Falls the win.

Wolf led the Tigers with 15 points while Mason Abbas added 12 points and Jack Campbell 10.
