MARION, Iowa (KCRG) - The newest KCRG-TV9 Athlete of the Week is Linn-Mar wrestler Jacob Wempen.
He won the Class 3A 182-pound state championship last weekend. He failed to qualify for state his freshman and sophomore year, then finished fifth last year as a junior.
He joins his brother, Matt, as a state champion. They're the first brothers in Linn-Mar history to win a state title.
