Waterloo police investigating shots fired

The Waterloo Police Department was called to a report of shots fired on the 200 block of Locust Street at 2:07 p.m. on May 23.

Officers found multiple shell casings near the Locust Street and Elmwood Street intersection.

Authorities also found a vehicle that had been hit by a bullet, as well as a residence that was hit by a bullet at 930 West First Street.

Authorities say the house was hit on the southwest side.

The incident is still under investigation.
