Warren making five stops in Iowa this weekend

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (KCRG) -- Senator Elizabeth Warren is making her first visit to Iowa this weekend as a likely presidential candidate.

The Massachusetts Democrat held a campaign event in Council Bluffs Friday evening. Warren is the most prominent Democrat yet to make a move toward a presidential bid, and she's long been a favorite target of President Trump. Friday night she talked about raising the federal minimum wage and how she would fight for middle class families, people of all races, and the LGBTQ community.

"These are dangerous times for our country. And Iowa is going to have a big part in determining where we go next. And I am grateful to you for coming out on a Friday night to spend your time on this to take this seriously," Warren said.

Warren has four more stops this weekend here in Iowa.
