November has had twice as many cold days as average

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - This has been a cold month! The monthly average temperature has been more than six degrees below normal. The high temperature was above normal on only three days, and the month will end with a continuation of below-normal high temperatures.

On average, Cedar Rapids has about two days with highs in the 20s or colder, seven in the 30s, nine in the 40s, eight in the 50s, and four in the 60s or warmer. This year, there will be seven days in the 20s, 11 in the 30s, nine in the 40s, three in the 50s, and zero in the 60s or warmer. In other words, there have been twice as many days in the 20s and 30s than average!
