CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) Three volunteers and one staff member from the Salvation Army in Cedar Rapids are on their way to Omaha.

They're taking a canteen vehicle to help other volunteers from across the country feed flood victims.

The Iowa Cedar Rapids group will also hand out clean-up kits and offer emotional support to flood victims. The Cedar Rapids team will be in Nebraska for 10 days.

"And those are long days. They'll be up early and serving dinner until 8 o'clock at night. It's not cushy, they'll be sleeping at the command center on cots. But it is a very fulfilling experience for those who do this," Shalla Ashworth said.
