University of Iowa political science professor Tim Hagle says he's heard from curious media outlets in places like Chile, Ireland, the UK, and Brazil all asking about American politics.

"I have been getting a lot of calls from people in various places," Hagle said. "They're very concerned what's going on in America."

Hagle said this election is getting a lot of attention, and breaking debate viewing audience records, because of the drama that's accompanied it.

"It has been on the news so much, it is almost hard to have not generated a huge amount of interest," said Hagle.

Despite all the coverage, Hagle said it's not clear if there will be a massive turnout on election day.
