A research project by the University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business is showing Hillary Clinton would likely win the presidential election if it were held today.

As of 9 a.m. Monday morning Hillary Clinton shares were selling for 81.5 cents, which means traders on the electronic market project believe she has a 81.5 percent chance of winning the popular vote. Trump is at 22.5 cents, down from 26.5 one week ago.

On a second "Vote Share Market," Clinton is selling for 51 cents, meaning traders believe she'll receive 51 percent of the two party vote. Trump is selling for 46 cents.

The market is comprised of 2,000 traders around the world that have bought into the research project.
