IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- If you were near the University of Iowa campus today, you might have seen this.

It's a 30 foot long parade float called the "Trump Unity Bridge" trailer. It's traveling from the west coast to Washington D.C. for supporters call the "Mother of All Rallies" on September 16th. The purpose of the float is to try to get Congress, the media, and the world to unite behind President Trump.

"These are messages from people just like them. He's your president. He's my president. He's our president, and we need to support him just like the way we supported President Obama, President Clinton, and President Bush," said Rob Cortis, who designed the trailer in Michigan.

The bus sat in front of the University of Iowa Pentacrest today for about 10 minutes but university police told the driver to move it because it was in a bus lane. Regarding the violence in Charlottesville, the driver said he has no connection to any white supremacy movements.
