UPDATE: Peosta business has over $1M in damage after fire

The building owned by Craig Smith had at least one million dollars in damages from the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

PREVIOUS STORY:

Multiple fire departments responded to a truck and trailer fire in Peosta on August 8.

It happened about 1:30 p.m. at Kordell Truck-Trailer Sales, 15665 Key City Lane

A caller initially told Centralia and Peosta Fire that a truck and trailer was on fire at the business.

Then the fire department received more calls that the building had also caught fire.

No word yet on any injuries, damage estimate, or a cause for the fire.
