Prosecutors charged 42-year-old Todd Mullis with 1st-degree murder in February. He is set to stand trial May 13.

The Delaware County Sheriff's Office said he used a corn rake to kill 39-year-old Amy Mullis last November on the couple's farm near Earlville.

Investigators said Mullis reported his wife died after falling and hurting herself at the farm. But, in December, the state medical examiner ruled her death was a homicide.

Investigators said Mullis believed his wife was having an affair.
