CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - The wind drops down and clouds part overnight. Gray skies return Thursday, though, with highs in the upper 30s.
Snow spreads across the area Thursday night with minor accumulation. We should get a lull before another round comes through near lunchtime through the evening. Everybody should get at least a coating to an inch. A stripe of up to about a couple of inches should occur where the heavier second round slides through. There is still some uncertainty on where and how wide that will be.
It'll be turning windy Friday afternoon, too, so the evening drive may be a slower one when combined with falling snow. Cold weather continues through the middle of next week.
