CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG)- Promoters of the Monster Jam show in Cedar Rapids on Saturday always make a little time for kids battling cancer. And for one 13-year-old patient that meant a behind-the-scenes visit with drivers and his favorite monster vehicle.

A driver helps Damian Stokley up into the cab of Grave Digger. The 13-year-old is battling cancer and the VIP visit was arranged to give him a behind-the-scenes look at one of his favorite sports.

Damian Stokley is getting radiation treatments right now battling Hodgkin's lymphoma.

And at every stop, Monster Jam promoters host a pediatric cancer patient for a VIP look at some of the vehicles and a meet and greet with drivers.

For Damian, that meant he got to sit in the cab of his favorite truck--Grave Digger--on Friday afternoon.

Drivers also spent time with the College Community student entire family.

Damien has seen three monster truck shows before and knows what he likes.

"I like watching them do the jumps and flip over and do tricks," he said.

Damian and his family got to watch crews finishing the dirt floor at the U.S. Cellular Center arena for the upcoming show.

They'll be back as guests Saturday.
