Street closures for SaPaDaPaSo parade in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - If you're driving through Cedar Rapids this weekend, you'll likely want to avoid the downtown area on Sunday.

Several streets will be blocked for the SaPaDaPaSo parade route and staging area.

The parade starts at 1 p.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m. Setup begins at 11 a.m. and tear down will be at 3 p.m., the city said.

Street closures for the staging area:
- 3rd Avenue SE from 6th Street to 7th Street
- 4th Avenue SE from 5th Street to 8th Street SE (not inclusive)
- 6th Street SE from 3rd Avenue to 5th Avenue (not inclusive)
- 7th Street SE from 3rd Avenue to 5th Avenue (not inclusive)

Street closures for the parade route:
- 6th Street SE from 2nd Avenue to 3rd Avenue
- 2nd Avenue SE from 1st Street to 6th Street
- 1st Street SE from 2nd Avenue to 3rd Avenue
- 3rd Avenue SE from 1st Street to 5th Street
- 5th Street SE from 3rd Avenue to 5th Avenue
