Staying muggy through Monday morning
We can’t rule out a stray shower or storm early this evening, but as a cold front sweeps in from the north tonight, we’ll expect drier conditions through the late evening and overnight. As winds turn northwesterly, a drier and slightly cooler air mass will begin to filter into eastern Iowa. However, it may be still fairly humid for Monday morning, and we may still have to deal with some patchy fog in a few spots. Then throughout the day, the humidity will be gradually dropping, making for a fairly comfortable afternoon and evening with highs in the low 80s. We will look to stay quiet and fairly comfortable through Wednesday before our next rain-making system moves in by Thursday. Throughout the next 9 days, temperatures look to be near to below average for the middle of July with reasonable levels of mugginess.
