Special naturalization ceremony welcomes America's newest citizens
A special naturalization ceremony welcomed 29 of America’s newest citizens Monday evening as part of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ annual Independence Day celebration.
U.S. senior District Judge Robert Pratt, Southern District of Iowa, will preside over the ceremony with assistance from USCIS.
Nearly 15,000 new U.S. citizens will be welcomed in more than 65 Independence Day-themed naturalization ceremonies across the country.
The Des Moines ceremony took place during an Iowa Cubs game Monday at Principal Park.
