Special Olympics Iowa games kick off Monday in Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) - The 34th Special Olympics Iowa games are kicking kick off today in Dubuque.

This year, 270 athletes will compete in alpine skiing cross country skiing, snowshoeing, speed skating and figure skating.

The opening ceremony is Monday at 6 p.m. at the Grand Harbor Resort.

The competition will run through Tuesday.
