CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) -- Snowfall continues as we move through the overnight hours. Our main accumulations wrap up by the morning, with scattered snow showers in place through the afternoon. The easterly wind we have been seeing switches to the northwest and increases. Winds of 20-30 mph and gusts topping 40 mph are possible through Tuesday. This will cause greatly reduced visibility with blowing and drifting snow, especially in open areas. Wednesday brings a quiet weather day with another winter system ready to move in Thursday and Friday. Stay safe and stay up to date on the latest forecast and road conditions.
