Snow ends late this evening

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Plan on snow to continue through mid-evening, then move east and away from us through midnight. Roads will remain snow covered and slick tonight, so use caution if you will be out and about.

Frosty pattern on window in winter season

As we move into Sunday, plan on a return to a partly cloudy sky, though it'll still be cool with highs into the upper 20s over the deeper fresh snowpack. Northern Iowa will likely hit the lower 30s as relatively little snowpack exists.

Looking ahead, this week will signal a pattern change, and a gradual decline in temperature is expected by the end of the week. It'll turn sharply colder next weekend with a chance of snow again by Friday into Saturday.
