Single-digit wind chills, near-record lows Friday night

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - We're done with snow for quite a while, but the chilly weather will hang on. Lows overnight fall to the middle teens, closing in on records. It'll still be windy, making it feel more like the single digits. Clouds decrease, giving us a bright start to the day Saturday.

However, clouds move right back in by lunchtime into the afternoon. At least the wind will be much lighter with highs around 30. We're in the upper 30s Sunday under a mostly cloudy sky. Highs should be in the middle to upper 20s again Monday and Tuesday.

However, temperatures finally go back up in the second half of next week as highs should consistently be at or above 40 again.
